With the continued pandemic environment, we will continue to implement the current Covid-19 guidelines. 1 st Saturday in April Aviation Program and Pancake Breakfast Schedule Breakfast: 8am to 10am. Program: 10am to 11am; The 2 nd part of John Morgan's “The Robert Morgan Presentation.” Membership Meeting: 11am; topic Brain Michael- Slack for Beginners We will continue to implement the current pandemic guidelines listed below: Upon arrival we will take everyone's temperature; if you should have a temperature please refrain from coming to the breakfast. If your temperature is greater than 100.4 degrees, you may not enter the hangar. Sanitizer is available upon entering and we strongly encourage everyone to use it. All food, condiments, coffee etc., will be given to you by our staff. Masks are required when not eating. We will have a limited supply of masks available on a first come first basis. Please maintain the social distancing guidelines, with the exclusion of family units; while obtaining your breakfast and at the tables. It is unlike that the hangar will be open due to the forecasted cold weather. When a member is finished with breakfast and leaves the table that location is sanitized by one of our volunteers. Please be aware that any significant changes with the Covid-19 environment may result in cancellation of the pancake breakfast. Hangar 6 Tool Usage Chapter members using Hangar 6 please remember to return the tools to their proper location and not necessarily where you might have found them . Also, if you are using the bead/sand blaster please clean the area around the cabinet after its use. There is a sand leak which needs to be mitigated to help control the mess. Fly-Outs On Friday (April 2nd) the "Fly-out Gang" will be headed to KAIK for lunch. The plan to meet a FBO between 11 to 11:15AM. All are invited and several seats are possible available. Check and respond on the "fly_outs" channel on SLACK. Other News If you are a car addict this Sunday (April 4th, Easter) is "Caffine and Octane" from about 7AM to 11AM at Perimeter Mall. Always a large gathering. EAA 690 is a Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association, located at Briscoe Field (LZU) in Lawrenceville, Georgia. A diverse chapter with over 250 members, awarded EAA's top level Gold Chapter status, we offer a wide range of aviation-related activities on a regular basis. While the Pancake Breakfast and our monthly m eetings are the norm, we also are heavily involved in youth education through EAA’s Young Eagles program and our youth programs, regularly conduct fly-ins, and host historical aircraft such as EAA’s B-17 “Aluminum Overcast” and the Ford Tri-Motor EAA 690 members are on SLACK! If so, stick around after any of our pancake breakfast presentations, and Brian Michael will go over the in-and-outs of Slack.
